Nomination Period

Nominations begin at 9:00am on September 23rd, 2024 and end on October 8th, 2024 at 9:00am. Please note that late and/or incomplete submissions will not be accepted under any circumstances. All Nomination information shall be submitted using the official nomination form found here.

 

NOTE: For all electronic submissions, documents must be word files, or e-mail texts.

 

Election Information Session

If you are interested in running for a position in the WCSA Fall By Election, you are encouraged to attend an information session on September 30th, 2024 at 5:00pm at Commuters Lounge.

All Candidates Meeting

You are required to attend the All Candidates Meeting in order to ensure your candidacy in the election. The All Candidates Meeting will take place on October 8th, 2024 at 6:30 pm on Zoom (https://utoronto.zoom.us/j/8749879227, Meeting ID: 874 987 9227). A recording will be sent to all candidates who cannot attend.

 

Campaign Period

The campaign period is from October 9th, 2024 at 9:00am to October 22nd, 2024 at 5:00 pm. You are expected to read the WCSA Election Policy and strictly adhere to it for the duration of your campaign. The policy may be found on the WCSA website under Governing Documents. All posters and flyers must be approved by the CRO. You may bring them to the All Candidates Meeting to be signed if you have them prepared. 

NOTE: Campaign period begins after the all candidates meeting and ends with the end of the voting period.

 

Candidate Speeches

The candidate speeches will take place on October 16th, 2024 at 5:00 pm over Zoom (https://utoronto.zoom.us/j/8749879227, Meeting ID: 874 987 9227). You are not required to give a speech, but it is strongly encouraged. All candidates will be given an opportunity to submit a recorded speech to be uploaded onto the WCSA website after the event. 

 

Voting Period

The voting period will be taking place from October 17th, 2024 at 9:00 am to October 22nd, 2024 at 5:00 pm. Voting will be done through https://utoronto.simplyvoting.com/, and may be accessed by using a UTORid. All Woodsworth College students are eligible to vote. No campaigning is allowed during the voting period beyond publicizing the fact that the election is happening and you are a candidate. To do so will result in an election policy violation.

 

Appeal Period

The appeal period will be from October 22nd, 2024 at 5:01pm to 24th, 2024 at 11:59pm.

• Campaign Period: October 9 at 9:00 AM, onward

• Voting Period: October 17 at 9:00 AM to October 22 at 5:00 PM (Note: the campaign period will conclude with the end of the voting period)

• Appeals Period: October 22 at 5:01 PM to October 24 at 11:59 PM

• Official Results Announced: October 25
