How to sign up with a Woodsworth Team
E-mail Danielle at firstname.lastname@example.org and she will pass along your information to the captain of the team you are interested in paying for
Register online using your UofT e-mail at www.imleagues.com and request to join your team to get your game schedule, updates regarding cancellations and game changes, and play-off info!
Ask your captain about a Facebook group or another mean of communication to keep in touch with other players and ensure enough players are showing up to each game.
When can I register for fall sports?
You may begin e-mailing Danielle, your VP Athletics, at email@example.com on Monday, August 24 regarding your interest in fall intramurals.
Include your full name, what sport you would like to be a part of, what division, if you would like to apply for captain, and if you want to play Men’s, Women’s, or Co-Ed.
***Please note I will be out of the country on vacation from August 21 to September 3. I will not be responding to e-mails during that time, but rest assured I will answer any questions you may have upon my return!
If you have simply e-mailed your interest in joining a team, I will not respond directly to you but instead will send out a mass e-mail to everyone interested in that team with further instructions and details!
How do I become a WW team captain?
E-mail Danielle at firstname.lastname@example.org with a short personal statement about what makes a good captain and why you want to be the captain of your team.
The captain of a team is responsible for communication with players, acting as a gobetween for the VP athletics and the team, submit a player registration form at the beginning of the first game of the season, and the organization of a team social (subsidized by WCSA). Captains are also expected to be familiar with WCSA’s Community Guidelines, which can be found on our website, mywcsa.com.
What division is best for me?
Most UofT intramurals are separated into three divisions: Division 1, Division 2, and Open.
Division 1: The most competitive division, this division bridges the gap for students who want to engage at a high level of play but don’t necessarily have the time to commit to a more competitive league such as Varsity or Club.
Division 2: This division is for players who enjoy a sport but maybe are still learning the finer points of the game. This division still offers a competitive atmosphere.
Open: This division is completely recreational, and is a perfect setting for those who want to try a new sport or a relaxed player who doesn’t want to compete.
I was a Varsity or ranked athlete in the past. Can I play intramurals?
Review UofT’s Eligibility Requirements to ensure you are eligible to play at the intramural level: http://www.uoftintramurals.ca/documents/2013/9/6/IM_handbook_2013-2014web.pdf (pages 12-16)
I want to play a sport, but WW doesn’t have a team!
Worry not!! If Woodsworth didn’t have enough interest to form a team of the sport you want to play, you can simply fill out a Players Pool form: http://www.uoftintramurals.ca/documents/2011/9/9//Intramural_Players_Pool_Form_200 9_Type-In.pdf?id=15
E-mail the form to email@example.com to join the Players Pool: a pool of athletes whose colleges couldn’t form teams in that sport. These players will be assigned to other colleges and remain on that team for the duration of the season.
Unsure if WW has a team or not? E-mail Danielle at firstname.lastname@example.org
Help! I still have questions!
That’s what I’m here for!! E-mail me, Danielle, at email@example.com if you have any other questions, concerns, or suggestions!
