Since January 31st, WCSA is collecting clothing donations for the St. Felix Centre. The donation box can be found in the Student Lounge (WW103). All donations will go towards helping those in need during the cold winter months.
The St. Felix Centre is committed to helping those who struggle with mental illness, homelessness, and addiction. The Centre provides many services for residents of the Queen and Spadina area. Some of these services include: an after-school program, a hot meal program, and also a variety of recreational programs. For more information, please visit http://www.stfelixcentre.ca/programs.php
Weston King Neighbourhood Centre is located in Weston/Mount Dennis– a City of Toronto area designated as high priority for being at risk. Its mission is to create a diversified and supported Weston community. The focus of this humanitarian work is to help people who are under-housed or homeless. They do not have the means to afford toiletries– toothbrushes, toothpaste, toilet paper, and the likes. By running a toiletries drive, we will be able to provide them with the most basic needs.
Clothing and toiletries may be dropped off in the Student Lounge until Tuesday, February 18. Thank you for any donated items you can spare!
